Completion of eight days training in MPUAT Udaipur
An ongoing eight-pronged training program on the topic of eradication of malnutrition through coarse grain bakery products at Udaipur Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT) concluded on Monday.
Directorate of Extension Education Director Dr. RA Kaushik said that Sometimes coarse grains (Sri Anna) like Bajra, Jowar, Ragi, Kangni, Sawna, Cheena etc. were considered the food of the poor, but today the rich man is running after coarse grains. Actually, coarse grains are full of nutrients related to preventing many diseases, hence people include Shri Anna in their diet.
Have started doing. In the era of climate change, the area under cultivation of coarse grains has increased. When people also understood its importance, its demand increased. In this training organized by Indian Council of Agricultural Research under Scheduled Caste Sub Scheme, selected candidates from Udaipur, Salumber district
30 young men and women participated. With the support of Directorate of Extension Education, the participants were taught to prepare dozens of dishes from millet like Jowar Papdi, Kangni Pakora, Rami Cake, Bajra Laddu, Bajra Brownie, Sanwa Fryms, Kangni Cup Cake, Jowar Donut, Oats Cookies.

Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT) Udaipur
Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology is situated in Udaipur city of Rajasthan state in India. The government of Rajasthan founded this university by the bifurcation of Rajasthan Agriculture University, Bikaner on 1 November 1999. Since then it has been the principal academic institution supporting mainly south and south-eastern parts of Rajasthan, taking the national responsibility of identifying, designing, preparing and adapting new techniques in the field of production technology for agricultural development. Its jurisdiction is spread over 7 districts of Rajasthan: Banswara, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Dungarpur, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, and Udaipur.
Apart from six constituent colleges, the university comprises Agricultural Research Stations, Agricultural Research Sub Stations, Livestock Research Station, Dry Land Farming Research Station and Krishi Vigyan Kendras.
Narendra Singh Rathore was appointed vice chancellor in 2019 and currently Dr. Ajit Kumar Karnatak has been appointed the Vice Chancellor of (MPUAT) on October 15, 2022.
